Here’s How Leo Went From Being An English Illiterate To A Ghost Writer Turned Author…
Leo Amino Divino was born in a childbirth center, near a 405 cloverleaf interchange located in Bellevue, Washington. He was born to a mother and a father. Leo was able to overcome the minor adversities presented upon him despite his parents’ oddly expressed good intentions. You see, Leo’s birth was perhaps not average. It was done via an IVF procedure. Both parents were, what many would consider, of normal health. They just wanted to ensure their offspring, when it came to matters of health, would turn out to be as great as possible.
It seems most parents would opt to do the logical thing and strive to live a heathy lifestyle before shaking and then baking, so they can rest assured a delicious bun will come out of the oven. Leo’s parents, however, were very particular with how they wanted their kid to turn out, as mentioned, they wanted him to turn out to be incredibly healthy. This incredible procedure took place in the same location where he was born. Both of Leo’s parents came from Gibraltar, to what seems to be quite an open-minded state, in hopes that Leo’s story would not be taken aback by friends and acquaintances he might come across throughout his life.
Leo was homeschooled, in Spanish, up until his middle school years. When Leo transitioned to middle school, he had to adjust not only to the different curriculum, but also to the different language. He was part of an English language learner program. To make up for his English deficiency, Leo always seemed to strive for good grades in STEM related subjects.
Leo spent the remainder of his elementary and middle school years attuning himself to the English language. During his middle school years, Leo had made many beneficial choices that would influence the course of his life. Of these choices, becoming a history teacher’s assistant was perhaps the most instrumental. This teacher was able to point Leo to a high school that was within his same school district and had better academic opportunities. This middle aged teacher made it known to Leo that going there would mean he would have to partake in the International Baccalaureate program, at least partially immersed if not fully immersed, in order to remain at that school.
At that moment in his life, Leo had one of three choices to make. The first one was to do nothing and be placed in the closest school available to him. The second option was to attend the school as a partial International Baccalaureate student. The third option was to fully immerse himself in academia and be a full International Baccalaureate student.
Leo chose the third option.
This choice would prove to be very trying for Leo. Not because of his abilities at the time, but rather, because of the different changes happening to him at the time. His guardians could not understand why he would travel more than twenty minutes every morning to go to a school when there were at least two closer ones within the same school district. Not to mention… there was puberty.
The constant pressures both inside and outside of school eventually caught up to Leo. Though he managed to attain his high school diploma and even learn a bit of French, Leo did not attain his International Baccalaureate diploma. In spite of just missing the mark, Leo was accepted to many well renowned universities, both private and public. Leo decided to attend a private one… Columbia University. He also went on to study at Yale University and Brown University. But that’s besides the point.
During his time at Columbia University, Leo took on the task of learning German, in hopes of bettering his understanding of languages. During this self-discovery phase, Leo also met a fellow peer which would go on to become the owner of the World’s Leading Direct Advertising eBoutique. Leo would spend quite a few years working as a ghost copywriter for said Advertising eBoutique before publishing his first short novel.
Though Leo still keeps in contact with this mini business magnate by being the main copywriting advisory source for the advertising agency’s ads, he spends most of his time devising his next books. Many would think that he still puts up with his former profession because he has to. In reality, this business relationship has shifted to more of a camaraderie. Leo advises on copy direction for the agency no longer because he has to, but rather, because he holds many commonalities with said business magnate. So, not fulfilling such duties would mean losing such a rare connection.
Leo is of Mediterranean ancestry, stands around 183 centimeters ± some centimeters and weighs about 70 kilograms ± some kilograms. The word on the street is that he is hazel-eyed, olive-skinned, and has copper brown hair, with a few white hairs developing where his hair parts clockwise, that he also has worn glasses since high school and that he occasionally takes them off whenever special situations arise.
Such situations include, but are not limited to, lounging, relaxing, or even having deep conversations with those that matter most to him. Has it been mentioned that Leo Amino Divino is not actually Leo’s real name, but rather, a pseudonym to keep his secret civilian identity secure?
Herman, whom this “about” section is really about, is Leo’s actual first name. There are many things to be known about Herman, such as his last name. To find this out, and more!.. stick around for Leo’s next book, where Herman’s true identity will be revealed.
When “Leo” is not thinking about, feeling about or dreaming about his next written work… he can be found happily reading and rereading Celtic, Greek and Middle Eastern myths & legends.
